Probing Anil Ambani in 2G scam: CBI tells SC

New Delhi: The CBI on Thursday told the Supreme Court that it is probing the alleged involvement of Anil Ambani in the 2G scam. The agency said that it will further investigate to to find out the people who are the real beneficiaries of the scam.

The CBI also gave a clean chit to Videocon Industries-owned Datacom saying that the company was eligible to get the licence, unlike the Swan and the Unitech. CBI further said that former Telecom Minister A Raja did not favour Tata Teleservices due to which it suffered loses.

Tata Group lost spectrum allocation because of Raja's conspiracy with other co-accused in 2G scam, the CBI further said. The CBI also rejected allegations that Tata Group gifted land to the DMK family for favours in spectrum allocation.
