The
number of Indian citizens above the age of 18 who are eligible to vote
in this election. That is 2.6 times the population of the US in 2012. It
is also 8 million more than the combined registered voters in the last
elections in the six largest democracies after India (US, Indonesia,
Brazil, Russia, Japan, and Bangladesh).
