Pawar's DB link traced to Pune
Pune: Union Agriculture Minister and NCP chief Sharad Pawar has denied that he has anything to do with 2G scam accused Shahid Balwa's DB Realty, but DNA has found a clear link between DB Realty and Panchshil Realty's Panchshil Tech Park One project in Pune, in which Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule and her husband Sadanand hold a 4 per cent share.
The link is regarding property development on 19 acres 21 gunthas (79,120.45 sqm) at Survey No. 191 (A), Yerawada, Pune, that now has an estimated market value of Rs15,000 crore.
Investigations and file inspections by DNA at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the district collectorate under Section 4 of the RTI Act, 2005, have revealed that the Panchshil Tech Park One IT project and the Grand Hyatt five star hotel project by DB Realty (Hillside Construction Company Pvt Ltd) on Survey No 191(A) have no separate Hissa numbers for the land owned by the two separate companies. Only the area being developed by the DB Realty firm has been identified as "Plot No 3".
Town planning experts consider it extremely significant that both the projects have the same Survey Number without a separate Hissa Number. Hissa Number is a sub-number given to a portion of the land when the main Survey Number is divided because of land division.

It also serves as an identification number allotted to the land. Renowned town planners in Pune told DNA that when two properties are developed on a same Survey Number without a separate Hissa Number, it may be interpreted that "the properties were developed with mutual consent or in partnership".
Panchshil Tech Park One's managing director Atul Chordia said DB Realty and Panchshil had the same Survey Number, but Panchshil had a separate City Survey Number (2175). He said this was sufficient to prove that Panchshil was in no way connected with DB Realty.
But Ramchandra Gohad, the state's former deputy director of town planning, said the absence of separate Hissa Numbers shows that the land has not been divided.
